Children’s Concert 2023

From our previous concert:  January 6, 2023 @ 9:15 & 10:30 A.M.

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for coming to the concert. It was wonderful to see so many students in the audience. I hope you enjoyed as much as we did.

“The concert was SO GOOD!  Thank you, thank you, for allowing our sixth grade students to attend. I wanted to let you know that we don’t have school on Fridays so students had to arrange for their parents to bring them to school and pick them up, plus they brought their own lunch.  They loved the concert so much last year that 24 out of 26 signed up to attend.”

“We greatly appreciate the concert members practicing and providing beautiful, interesting, thoughtful, fun music for us.”

“My favorite quote after the first song from a boy sitting next to me”, “If you close your eyes you would think it was a recording – it’s so good.”

Thank you to all Cochise County 5th-grade students for joining us at Buena High School for this special concert just for you!  We are excited to announce that thanks to generous grants we were able to perform two concerts this season!  This year the program included Rossini’s La Gazza Ladra, Ralph Vaughan William’s The Lark Ascending (solo violin: Laura Tagawa), Smetana’s Dance of the Comedians, Williams’ Star Wars Theme, selections from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, and Rossini’s William Tell Overture.
